THE DUCOMMUNS

My photo
We are the Ducommuns! There are 4 of us now-Craig, Laura, Zamara, and now Mahashavah, our 1 year old son. We adopted Zamara from Ethiopia in 2008. Our son is also from Ethiopia and we are hoping to bring him home soon. We live Flagstaff Arizona. We are so glad you found us. Take a look around and don't forget to leave us a message.

We have been working on this video since we arrived home from Ethiopia.  We wanted to share some of Zamara's history with all of you...and hopefully for her when she is old enough to understand. We know very little of Zamara's background, however  we feel so blessed to have her as a part of our lives.  Craig and I prayed that God would prepare the right little girl for our family.  And He did!  I hope this video gives you a little insight into who she is and where she came from.  (It is a little long, but worth it.  Let us know if it is too long to process on your computer.  We hope everyone can watch it)

blessings,  Laura

Wow! That's just so amazing that you have these details to share with Zamara - and the video and pictures. It's almost overwhelming to watch.

Wow! That was amazing! I was completely crying the whole time I watched it. You are both so amazing and Zamara is so blessed to have you as her parents just as you are blessed to have her as your daughter.

Love,
Auntie Angie

Laura,
Im in tears. What more can I say? You know how it goes.... Great job making the video.

I was surprised to see that our son Jonas was born around the same time Zamara was. Unfortunately, he came into care at 4 months of age and has been in care ever since. Hopefully that will be over for him soon.

We have to get the babies together when we gat back! Possibly after the holidays?? WE could make a drive up to see you since last time you made the trip down... what do ya think??
